THATCH BUSTERS owner, Scott Morrow, has been in the turf industry since 1981, starting at the young age of 23. After returning from an overseas trip, and while staying with his folks, one day he noticed an old bloke come in and cut their lawn with a rotary mower. After the Lawny left, Scott asked how much the guy charged. $3.50 for the back lawn was the price...

Well, you know, Scott being the entrepreneurial type, thought to himself, "Gee, I think I could give this lawnmowing caper a shot." So without further ado, he roped his mate Glen into going halves in an old Falcon ute, and borrowed Glen's old man's old Scott Bonner. Then "SCOTT AND GLEN, THE LAWNMOWING MEN" was born. The rest is history.

He has gained all his experience by good old-fashioned hard work, with a constant hands on approach.

"In the good old days, you only needed a mower and an edger. But now, to do the job properly, you need to have a mobile machinery shop", Scott says.

"However, that's OK, because I get great satisfaction out of seeing a tired old lawn turn into a virtual bowling green."

After many trips overseas and after many lawnmowing rounds, Scott realized that his future lay with Turf renovation. While most Lawnmowing contractors know how to mow lawns, very few know how to actually fix them if a problem arises. Scott was in the same boat. When a customer would ask " What do you think the problem is?" The usual reply would be "UUMMMMM BLACK BEETLE".
Well ,those days are gone for THATCH BUSTERS, Scott has since then knuckled down and got stuck into the field of TURF RENOVATION. If you've got a lawn problem, Scotty can fix it.
